Miami born rapper Pitbull has announced a collaboration with global superstar Jennifer Lopez for his upcoming tenth studio album Climate Change set for release on March 17. The song titled Sexy Body marks the ninth time the two Latin stars have released a song together.

In an interview with Fuse TV Pitbull shared his excitement to be working with Lopez again and said that the song was a perfect collaboration for the two of them. “What better record for Jennifer, than a record called Sexy Body,” he said.

The song which samples parts of Jamaican DJ Sasha’s 1998 tropical hit “Dat Sexy Body” is likely to be a Latin infused dance-club track, however, it is not yet known whether the song will be released as one of the album’s official singles.

Pitbull and Lopez first worked together in 2009 on the electro-R&B track Fresh Out of the Oven which was released as a promotional single for Love?, Lopez’s seventh studio album. Despite topping the US Dance charts the song did not achieve mainstream success and subsequently did not feature on the album after Lopez changed record labels.

In 2011 the pair released their second song together, On the Floor, which served as the eventual lead single of Lopez’s Love? album. The song, which coincided with Lopez’s successful judging stint on American Idol’s 10th season rose to the top of Charts globally including the national singles charts of Australia, Canada, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) the song was the highest selling single by a female artist in 2011, with 8.4 million copies sold globally, outselling Adele’s Rolling in the Deep and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. The song is often regarded as the biggest hit of Lopez’s career and the music video has since passed 1 billion views on YouTube.

The following year the pair attempted to replicate this success with Dance Again. Written in part by Enrique Iglesias, the song was intended to be a duet between him and Lopez, however, it was later given to Lopez to record with Pitbull as the lead single for her greatest hits album. While it did not reach the huge levels of success attained by On the Floor, the song was still a staple in the upper regions of global charts and achieved Platinum level sales in markets including Australia, Canada and the United States. It also spurred Lopez’s successful 2012 world tour of the same name.

In 2014 the pair reached another significant milestone together and recorded the FIFA World Cup anthem We are one (Ole Ola) along with Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte. The three of them performed the song together in Brazil for the opening ceremony.
